Trip to St. Malo - September 2006

The club celebrated its 30th Anniversary in September with a few days in St. Malo.

13 members made the trip travelling by minibus and by car. A great time was had by all. Excellent weather (sunshine and 32°C), lovely meals, plenty of apertifs and wine.

Friday was a visit to Rennes and leisurely walk viewing various sites including La Cathédrale Saint Pierre de Rennes followed by a meal.

Saturday was an outing to Dinard and a visit to the Rance Tidal Power station. The mechanics to let the yachts and boats pass through was impressive.

Sunday was a visit to the walled city of St. Malo to buy food for a picnic which was enjoyed on the bank overlooking the sea. This was followed by a trip to Dinard and a tour of the Monastery.
