Boules Competition - 2008

The event this year took place on the evening of Saturday 20 July 2008 at Cornmill Playing Fields in Tutbury.

We were again extremely fortunate to have a dry evening - albeit rather gusty and cloudy.

For those who braved the weather, we were again treated to a splendid barbecue. Thanks once more to the "two Ian's" - our barbecue chefs - who were again on hand to mastermind the cooking of sausages, beef-burgers and onions.

Pork and all the trimmings were provided courtesy of Josie and Enid. Many thanks also to Pauline Oakton for assistance with serving.

David was again our master of ceremonies for the boules, with Gerry Alger adjudicating on the highly competitive matches - all played in great spirit.
