A very satisfactory evening and it was a pleasant surprise to see some
members of the club enjoying themselves on the La Rochelle holiday.

Usually an enjoyable evening which makes us think about the samples and
question our thoughts!
The supper will be cheese and salad at £4.00 per head. You may bring your
own wine or it will be available at 50p per glass.
A raffle will be held.
Samedi, Le 18 Octobre 2008 - Film - ‘Le
Bonheur est dans le Pré’
The Priory Centre will open at 7:00 p.m. and the film will commence at 7:15
p.m.
It is the story of Francis, the boss of a small plumbing supply company, who
is harassed by tax collectors, striking employees and an impossible wife and
daughter. His only joy is sharing lunch with his friend Gerard. Then a TV
show called "where are you?" shows a woman from Gers who is searching for
her husband who disappeared 28 years ago. The lost husband looks like an
identical twin of Francis……
Cost will be £2.00 including coffee and biscuits
After the showing of ‘Le Retour de Martin Guerre’ on Saturday 20th
September, the general consensus of opinion was “thank goodness the law of
the land has changed.” The final shot was of Martin Guerre hanging dead from
a tree!
Club Trip
The Club Trip for 2009 will be to the Loire Valley area or Bordeaux and
area, early in May.
Give some though to these suggestions and comment should you so desire to M.

The next Committee meeting will be at The Priory Centre, Saturday 20th
September 2008 at 5:00 p.m. - bring sandwiches if required.
