Mai 2008

Vendredi, le 16 May - Assemblée Général Annuel et La France Médiévale.

All members who had to stand down were re-elected en-bloc:-

·     M. David Swain (Chairman)

·     M. Gerald Lomas  (vice Chairman)

·     M. Denis Scattergood (Treasurer)

·     M. Malcolm Holden (Secretary)

·     Mme. Joan Holden (Committee)

·     M. Tony Fenwick (Committee)

Denis had offered to resign as Treasurer if a replacement could be found, but no one offered.

Following the AGM we were given a fascinating talk by Mme. Phil Ogden entitled ‘La France Médiévale’. This was followed by a competition to name as many provinces as ppossible on a tiny map of France. This was won by M. Gerald Lomas.

The meal that followed was an excellent charcuterie - altogether a most enjoyable evening.

We look forward to seeing Mme. Phil again in the near future.
