Quiz
The meeting - a Quiz - was organised and
presented by M. Arnold Burston ably assisted by Mme Verity Conner, who
marked the papers from the various teams and stated the points gained. It
was most interesting and the members thoroughly enjoyed the different
papers.
We would like to thank Arnold for all the work
needed for the meeting and Verity also for her part.
The Quiz was won on a tiebreak question by the
‘Eurostars’ team, led by M. David Swain - well done!
M. Denis Scattergood then gave a short but
most interesting talk on Alsace - très bien.
We then had supper - most enjoyable as usual.
Vendredi, le 21 Décembre
2007 Fête de Noël
Each member is asked if they would please
bring an item of food for the buffet - savoury or sweet. If bread is
required with the food, please bring it - the Club will provide the butter.
During the evening, various games will be
played including Scarabée Française - and a barrel organ will be played
providing carols and French music. A tombola will be held and members are
asked to bring the prizes wrapped on the evening.
